Beside the sea
Again
written for the
Todmorden Symphony Orchestra, this is a lively work depicting the energy,
activity and the chaotically colliding sound of arcades, attractions and
general beach and traffic noise that's typical of many major seaside
towns. The piece also includes snippets of the seaside "anthem"
"O I do like to be beside the seaside".

Lux Aeterna
A
single movement work written for the Bournmouth Sinfonietta. A free
sounding opening leads to the main fast section and builds to the work's
climax. This gradually subsides and the piece concludes with soft, high,
string harmonics.
