Lamentation

First performed by the Western Sinfonia and their conductor Scott Stromann. The music is based on the biblical text from Luke ch.19  v.41-42. "When he came in sight of the city he wept over it..."

"And the cock crowed"

The music depicts contrasting moods associated with betrayal and forgiveness. Written for the Opus 20 Ensemble conducted by Scott Stroman.

Paschalis

This refers to the sacrificial connotations of the Easter narrative as predicted in John ch.1 v. 29. "Look...there is the Lamb of God..." Composed for the Opus 20 Ensemble/Scott Stroman.

The third day

This is the only work composed specifically for the Four Passion Meditations cycle of works. The piece opens very aggressively but following a reference to Lamentation it gradually moves toward a victorious and positive conclusion. Commissioned by the Opus 20 Ensemble/Scott Stroman.

Symphony for Strings

This single movement work has attracted a number of favourable revues.
